Legacies of Character: True Stories from World War 2 E-Book

Boy, are we are excited to share with you the latest project that the Boyer cousins have been involved in- authoring our newest book in the Character with the Cousins series- Legacies of Character: True Stories from World War II. Some people think history is boring, but we're here to tell you, when you learn about the lives of real people and their heroic experiences, history becomes fascinating! Cassidy, Luke, Adam, Anne, Melody, Lauren, and our friend Mary, have been learning character demonstrated through amazing stories- too fascinating not to be remembered and too inspiring not to share with you! You'll hear of people who rescued others at the risk of their own lives, lives transformed by Jesus, lives spared by mercy,lives rescued from sharks, a survivor of the Bataan Death March, and even about a dog who saved men by her obedience! An extra special feature is that the cousins got to actually meet some of the men they wrote about and we'll tell you about that too! Get comfy and prepare to read some stories that you can treasure and pass the legacies of character on to your kids some day. Maybe you will be inspired to write about heroes too and if you do, we'd love you to share it with us. Hope you enjoy the stories.

Excellent character building resource for homeschoolers!

The stories themselves are very well written and highly engaging. I read them to my kids for a morning Bible time. At the end of each chapter is a discussion and question time. It helps to really solidify the meaning a practical application of the character trait being focused on.

As always Character Concepts has done a great job in giving you another tool in your parenting toolkit. Not only does this book teach history but you get to discuss and integrate character building into it! How AWESOME is that!

This book covers obedience, determination, forgiveness, mercy, endurance, courage, bravery, meanness, persistence, and faith.

As with all the Boyers books you won’t be disappointed in it! They have a fantastic series of books, audio and more to help you train your kids. Oops I almost forgot to mention..this book is full of really neat real photographs of the people and places you’re going to read about. My history buff boy LOVES that!

Great Book!

Our family has enjoyed learning from ‘Character with the Cousins’ through the four book series. It has also been a joy following them as they have grown. What a wonderful book the Cousins and friends have written. Finding out that they got to meet some of the people they wrote about is very exciting!

“‘Legacies Of Character’ is a great book with true stories of how God helps people through difficult times,” says Evan(age 9). “The Boyers make learning history and character fun. A great book for family time,” says Ethan (age 11) & Emmett (age 15). Ellie and Elizabeth (ages 6 & 4) say they like the pictures and Daddy reading it to them.

We highly recommend all of the Boyer’s Character Curriculum!
